Every June when the corn is ready and it's pretty hot outside my Mom's family get's together for what they call the
"Corn and Tater" Party.
This is where it is held.
The is manicured....
The tables are up and paper rolled ....
The Men bring out their fabulous equipment...
The corn is shucked....
The potatoes are washed and sliced...
The pot is boiling....
IBC and Cream Soda Iced down....
The Crowd gathers...
And it's time to eat.
Even the little one love the corn....
Even with no front teeth...
Some really like the IBC.
5 generations gather.
We finish off with Homemade Ice Cream,
And Cinnamon Rolls.
This is the meal my Mom's Mom made in the summer.
It is a perfect way to remember the past.
Let's do it again next year.
