Corn and Tater Party

 Every June when the corn is ready and  it's pretty hot outside my Mom's family get's together for what they call the

 "Corn and Tater" Party.

This is where it is held.  

The is manicured....

 The tables are up and paper rolled ....

 The Men bring out their fabulous equipment...

 The corn is shucked....

 The potatoes are washed and sliced...

 The  pot is boiling....

  IBC and Cream Soda Iced down....

 The Crowd gathers...

 And it's time to eat.

 Even the little one love the corn....

 Even with no front teeth...

Some really like the IBC.

  5 generations gather.

 We finish off with Homemade Ice Cream,

And Cinnamon Rolls.

This is the meal  my Mom's Mom made in the summer.

 It is a perfect way to remember the past.  

Let's do it again next year.

Grand Reunion 2011

Our family did a Stay-cation this year and some of us (me) called it a Reunion
We went to the Arizona Grand
so I am calling it a
"Grand Reunion"...
and it was!

We also celebrated Sarah's graduation from High School,

Sarah went to the all night party and then we left for the resort the next morning.  She  played all day and by evening  she was very tired.  She did  pose for this picture for her G-Ma Thanks Sarah!

Another Dinner

One of the highlights of the weekend was the giant Whirlpool they made in  on of the pools.

We had the pool almost to ourselves but those that were in the pool joined us and  everyone had a great time.

I counted at least 30 in the pool making the "Whirlpool"

Then they would reverse and go against the whirlpool and go the other way.

This little boy on Brent's back worried everyone and Brent finally put him on his back and he loved it.
