Birthday Dinner
We went to a new place called Spinato's. It was fabulous!
We were in the back room of a place Aaron found in Tempe. We sat right next to the walk-in cooler.
We went back home and each of the kids presented me with:
60 Ginger Snaps
60 Snicker bars
60 quarters
60 Diet Coke's
60 Fat quarter's
60 Things about me
A wonderful scrapbook of
60 memories from my favorite people. Thanks to all!
I had a great Birthday. I didn't have time to remember that 60 sucks.
Birhtday Lunch With the Girls +
That should have been a clue. Kelly surprised me and had come from Utah. They invited Nelda and Lynn. The party got bigger and bigger. Sal was able to stay for lunch and Peg had Rob visiting for the Day and her family joined us. Steve was even able to finish the Lunch at the Sub Shop and joined us also. We had a very nice lunch. I was even able to show off the quilt I bought a new border for at Zoe's Quilt Store.

Grandma's 86th Birthday
Grandma celebrated her 86Th birthday this past week. We picked her up from church and it gave us a chance to take some pictures. She looks great, and is getting along pretty well. She gave away her car so she doesn't drive anymore and we are all glad about that. She still wants to go to her Ward so we are all helping her get home from church.

Wonderful Stake Conference
This weekend we had a great Stake Conference. Elder Jeffery R. Holland was our visitor and we were all touched by the messages he gave on Saturday night and also Sunday morning. Saturday night we went one hour early and we were sitting about half way back. He did pass me in the hall and greeted and shook hands with the ladies that were waiting to get in the cultural hall.
Sunday we went to the Red Mt. Institute 2 hours early. Laura had saved us seats (Brent sang in the choir)and we set in the back of the chapel. We had great seats but we waited 2 hours and then a 2 hour meeting. Steve saw a better chair in the Hall and traded it for the hard one we were sitting on. He did trade with me while we sang the rest song, that was good.
Sunday Elder Holland talked to the youth and said he wanted them to give 10 years to the Lord and the 10 years he wanted were the 12-22 years or 14-24 years. He said if they would let their parents, their leaders, the church make their decisions for the next 10 years (because they are older and wiser) they would have the foundation they would need to be on their own.
Elder Holland left us with a blessing on our stake. He blessed everyone within the sound of his voice. It was a wonderful blessing and left us with a message to "Keep the Spirit of the Lord in our lives".
It was a great weekend and I am looking forward to General Conference in a few weeks.

Piano Lessons Start
Yes, Piano lesson have started again. I picked up two new students this year. (I only teach grandchildren) I have six this year. McKay, Rebecca, Nate, Jake, Mitchell and Loryn. We are starting a new thing this year. The parents have to sign the practice chart, so I don't have to be the "mean" Grandma. We are expecting great things this year. The Picture is painters tape on the living room floor and it is to practice the names of the notes.
